To most patients Dr. Raul Andino is a major source of support. He makes sure that all his patients leave the exam room happier than when they had entered it. Dr. Raul Andino fills the hallways with laughter and smiling faces. He is an avid baseball fan and coach. He is a loving father of four and husband to an avid cook and special education teacher (previously she was an Optometrist). He is focused on keeping mothers as happy and health as possible. Without question he is one of the most interesting men to talk to.
Dr. Raul Andino received his Medical Degree in the Dominican Republic in 1985. His residency and internship were completed in Arecibo Puerto Rico where he studied high risk pregnancy extensively. Later he trained residents in sonography, colposcopy, and high risk obstetrics. Dr. Raul Andino also volunteered his time to the examination and treatment of victims of sexual assault. He developed such a great reputation with the hospital that he later become the chairman of the labor ward.
With one of the most diverse cultural backgrounds of any physician in Michigan – Dr. Raul Andino can relate to most anyone. From relaxed rural communities to high crime urban centers he has managed a wide range clinical settings. In the states, he managed clinics on Indian Reservations to bring high quality health care to those that had little to no access previously. He has been the attending physician in a collaborative model for Midwifery and has developed clinics/hospitals from scratch. His cross-cultural experience and devotion to others has made Dr. Raul Andino and unquestionably great addition to our women's health team.
